This company is stealing money and no one cares. I have a false claim on my record and trying to get it removed PA 001930****.
My name is Michelle Campbell. I spoke to a representative. They gave me. A supervisor's number Sarah Dubois phone number 186********.
I've been calling the supervisor I have not gotten a return call back to address this issue. You people are trying to make me pay. $828 on March 20th for my car payment of 2 cars. I did the safety driving class to get that number reduced.
No one is looking into that false claim on my record and I want it removed immediately. This is how you treat people of age. You just hike prices up and don't look into why you just want money greedy greedy corporate people. I don't know why you think I have $824 to pay on monthly basis.
You didn't even call me or anything. Just send me letters saying how much I have to pay and if I don't get any action for this issue.
I will seek legal counseling to get that off of my driving record. That faulse claim that's been up there for a few years now.

Difficult dealing with Hartford
Hartford sends an independent inspector to your home without your knowledge and they arrive unannounced. They determine the condition of your yard and foliage and send that info to the underwriter who sends a threatening letter giving you a brief timeframe to correct the faults they find or your policy will be cancelled or not renewed.
in our case they were sighting a climbing rosebush that we planted to grow over a shade lattice. They were claiming that a mesquite tree was hanging over the house and needed to be trimmed or removed within a few weeks. we also had some plastic buckets alongside the house that we were using for a landscaping project and they claimed that the were dangerous. I had to make several calls and emails and send lots of pictures before they said that they would not cancel our policy.
The other issue we have is their TrueLane driving monitor app that gives you a 12% discount for signing up, with the possibility of up to 25% discount for good driving habits.
Actually, the average discount is only 10-12%. The app uses the g-meter in your smart phone to monitor acceleration, braking, and cornering. It uses the GPS in the phone to monitor your speed. It is highly inaccurate and creates an unsafe driver because you are always looking at your speedometer and for speed limit signs on the side of the road to make sure you aren't speeding.
If you do exceed the speed limit it is a considered dangerous and counts against your discount. In many instances the surrounding traffic is going faster than the speed limit and you are getting in their way, potentially leading to a road rage situation. Safely merging onto a freeway requires you to accelerate from the speed posted on the ramp to highway speed, but doing so may get you a deduction for harsh acceleration. If you are using the cruise control you have to look at the speedometer to engage it at the proper speed, again taking your eyes off the road, as well as move your hands on the wheel to engage and disengage it.
If a light turns yellow you have a choice to stop quickly or go through the intersection so you don't get dinged for hard braking. A sharp turn at the posted speed limit may penalize you for cornering. There is also a penalty for phone use and that makes sense, but you may have to use the map feature on your phone to get where you're going, and that's not allowed. you have to go back and review your trips in a certain amount of time so you can you can choose if you are the driver, passenger, on a motorcycle, bus, train bicycle, boat, airplane, on foot, or other.
if you don't designate passenger on your Uber ride, you will be penalized for the poor habits ofd your driver.
And the low intro discount for being an AARP member disappeared when we got our renewal notice that showed a $275 increase after six months, before the safe driver discount was even figured out. The app basically leads customers to be live that their driving habits will get them an additional discount that doesn't really exist.

Complained about procedure reguarding the renewal of my homeowners policy. 57rx 704321.
Still havent received a response on that matter. I was sent a cancellation notice because I didnt provide a monitoring certificate. I sent it via SimpliSafe to both the Hartford as well as proco. To be fair, when sent to me I couldnt open it.
Perhaps that was the case with other emails. Proco said the Hartford didnt get it, so I had SimpliSafe send one to proco. Never heard anything else. Then l get a cancellation notice.
Have the certificate, and the dates will show I was in compliance. Can you provide an email address l can send it to?

Verified ReviewerFed up with them and their AARP program.
I was with Hartford in the past. My wife and I had well over 20 yrs accident free.
Our total bill, with Hartford on the aarp plan, was about $4,000 per yr. We left and later came back when we got the price down to less than half that amount.
Recently, a dog ran behind and to the side of my car leapt at the front wheel, and damaged the fender. Hartford wanted to make it a collision claim with a deductible of $1000. After some research, I discovered that animals are a comprehensive claim, where my deductible is only $100.
Hartford keeps saying the claim is changed to the $100 deductible.
After chasing them for a period of time, I then get an estimate which still says $1000, deductible.
When I called the claims' adjuster to arrange my rental car, she still quoted $1000, deductible, until I corrected her.
My car has been in the shop for a week.
I called the shop to get an update, and they still have not heard from Hartford about the estimate, so that they can process the claim and complete the repairs.
I am driving a rental that is only partially paid for by my plan and is inadequate for my needs.
We recently moved our home insurance to Hartford, to bundle for a discount. Now I regret, as I will have to look for an alternate policy for both.

Customer service
This is a complaint against Hartford auto insurance:
I had questions to an adjuster who was assigned to me after an accident. I left 7 voice mails, 3 emails, but NO RESPONSE!
She sent me email (but no response to my questions) saying that she would be out of office, and I should send email to a person/team if I had questions. So, I sent 2 emails to the team, but NO RESPONSE!
One customer service connected me to the adjusters boss, so I left a voice mail to him, but NO RESPONSE from the boss!
In the meantime, I had a question about a rental car, and I asked a customer service to help connect me to an appropriate department, but the customer service couldnt/wouldnt help me.
Main point of my complaint here is how badly Hartford auto insurance staff treat their customer. Anyone who reads my complaint might think twice before buying Hartford auto insu

Fraudulent charges
I had an Auto insurance policy with the Hartford insurance company.
Policy number was ({{Redacted}} ) from 06/18/2022 to 06/18/2023.
This policy was cancelled at my request on 07/08/2022 at 12:01 AM.
This policy covered two vehicles, and two drivers.
2012 Honda Civic, VIN # {{Redacted}} (Maria Massey) my wife.
2008 Toyota Corolla VIN # {{Redacted}} (Andrew Massey) self.
The total of this policy was $2,722.00 for twelve months.
And the monthly premium charged to my credit card on the 8th day of every month was $235.28
On 06/30/2022, just twelve days after this policy was renewed, I edited the amount of coverage on both vehicles, reducing its total premium to $1,774.00 for twelve months; a total reduction of $948.00, this change took effect on 07/01/2022 at 12:01 AM.
Based on this new premium of $1,774.00, my new monthly premium would have been $147.83 per month for future months.
The reason Im filling this claim or dispute is because I was charged $235.25 for ONLY TWELVE DAYS.
$235.28 is actually $7.85 per day, and so twelve days cost would be $7.85 X 12 days equals a total of $94.00, but since the Hartford charged me $235.28, then if we subtract $94.00, which is what I owe for twelve days from the $235.28, the difference would be $141.00, which is what the Hartford OWES ME.
When the Hartford saw that I lowered the total of my policy to save money, they fabricated the biggest lie, FALSELY CLAIMING that I owed them money in the month of May 2021.
IF THAT LIE OR CLAIM WAS TRUE, AND IT ISNT, THEN WHY DID THEY WAIT TIL NOW TO TELL ME?
My credit card bank keeps record of each charge, its date, and a PAYMENT CONFIRMATION NUMBER, WHICH LEAVES NO ROOM FOR THEIR LIE.
The bottom line is the Hartford owes me $141.00, and I want this money back. On 7/25/2022, then I received a bill of $496.28, which I do not owe. at all.
I WANT A REFUND OF $141.00, and the $496.28 charge COMPLETELY REMOVED
